Abstract

The Personius Brothers Letters, is a collection of letters written by Captain Walker V., Charles W. and Daniel V. Personius.  The brothers all served with Company G of the 50th New York Engineers.  Most letters have their original envelopes included in the folder.  The Booth Library purchased the first set of 74 letters in December 2002.  In March of 2007, the Booth Library purchased 54 more letters.  Letters written by Charles Personius encompass the bulk of the collection with 87, Walker's letters total 32 and Daniel letters total 13.
