Welcome to the Booth Library manuscript index. 

The manuscript index contains links to finding aids for the collections of the Booth Library.  Each finding aid has a description of that collection along with a listing of the items within that collection.  The Booth Library staff and volunteers are updating the index daily in order to make your research experience more productive.

Historical:Mark Twain Musical Drama-The Mark Twain Musical Drama opened at the Domes in Elmira, NY in June of 1987 and became a staple of local summer theater.  The play was based off of the life and works of Mark Twain.  It was written by Jane Iredale with music and lyrics by Bill Perry and was produced by the Mark Twain Arts Council.  Actor William Perley played the lead character, Mark Twain, for nearly every year of the play's run.  In 1994, the name was changed to Mark Twain - The Musical! in an effort to boost falling attendance.  The effort met with minimal success, and, after a poor showing at the 1995 season, the play ended its run in Elmira.

The Mark Twain Musical Drama Collection includes programs, promotional brochures, tickets, press clippings and invitations to events.
