Welcome to the Booth Library manuscript index. 

The manuscript index contains links to finding aids for the collections of the Booth Library.  Each finding aid has a description of that collection along with a listing of the items within that collection.  The Booth Library staff and volunteers are updating the index daily in order to make your research experience more productive.

Historical:

Urban Renewal-Following the devastation caused by the 1972 flood, the City of Elmira worked with the New York State Urban Development Corporation and various community groups to re-develop the downtown area.  S. Roberts Rose was involved in the process through his connections to the Elmira Association of Commerce.

Scope:The S. Roberts Rose Collection contains various publications, reports and studies associated with regional re-development and urban renewal projects, 1972-1992.
