Welcome to the Booth Library manuscript index. 

The manuscript index contains links to finding aids for the collections of the Booth Library.  Each finding aid has a description of that collection along with a listing of the items within that collection.  The Booth Library staff and volunteers are updating the index daily in order to make your research experience more productive.

Historical:

Delta Kappa Gamma was founded in 1929 in Texas by Dr. Anne Webb Blanton.  The purpose behind the organization is to further the position of women in education and to facilitate individual professional development.  The first chapter in New York was formed in 1938.  The Alpha Rho Chapter, covering Chemung County, split from the larger Southern Tier Chapter in 1960. 

Scope:

The Delta Kappa Gamma Collection contains the scrapbooks of the Alpha Rho Chapter from 1951 to 2008.
