Nov 20 5:00-7:00pm
Join us on Thursday, November 20 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm for the opening of To Do No Harm: Medicine in Chemung County.
To Do No Harm examines the changes in medical practices and health care throughout the history of Chemung County. It tells the stories of the men and women who worked as physicians, nurses, dentists, and other health care professionals in our community. Visitors will learn about the many public and private hospitals that operated around the turn of the 20th century. Through hands-on interactives, they can explore advances in medical technology and discover why some pharmaceuticals are no longer prescribed by doctors. Visitors can also step into the story by following the paths of fictional, historic characters as they make their way through the medical system.
This program is free and open to the public.
