Apr 12 1:00-3:00pm
Four master embroiderers will be on site to help you learn a new stitch or develop your own embroidery design. Feel free to visit each one, or sit with a particular artist to learn in more depth. The master embroiderers come from around the world and include: Fanny Arango-Keeth (Peruvian), Mary Ann Bilsky (Ukrainian), Eniko Farkas (Hungarian), and Usha Shah (Indian).
Fanny Arango-Keeth will have a special Peruvian arpillera doll making workshop. Arpillera dolls are embroidered onto panels and represent people in a family. Space is limited and the doll workshop is on a first come - first served basis.
No previous experience is necessary. Novices and children are welcome.
This event is free and open to the public.
