Welcome to the Booth Library manuscript index. 

The manuscript index contains links to finding aids for the collections of the Booth Library.  Each finding aid has a description of that collection along with a listing of the items within that collection.  The Booth Library staff and volunteers are updating the index daily in order to make your research experience more productive.

Provenance:The items in this collection were donated to the Booth Library by the Estate of Adria Peck in 2010.

Adria Matthews Snyder Peck - Adria Mattews was the daughter of Chemung County Judge John A. Mattews and Anna VanDyke Mattews.  Mrs. Matthews was an active member of the Thursday Morning Musicales and the first chair of the Elmira Community Concert Association.  Adria was involved in both the Adelphia Society and the Junior League.  She married Claude R. Synder Jr. of Snyder Brothers Printing Co. in 1938.  She later married Clarence Peck.  Adria Peck died November 13, 2009.

Scope:The Adria Peck Scrapbook Collection contains scrapbooks compiled by Adria Peck concerning the Thursday Morning Musicales and Elmira Community Concert Association, 1934-1949; and the Elmira social scene, 1930s-1940s.
