Welcome to the Booth Library manuscript index. 

The manuscript index contains links to finding aids for the collections of the Booth Library.  Each finding aid has a description of that collection along with a listing of the items within that collection.  The Booth Library staff and volunteers are updating the index daily in order to make your research experience more productive.

Lillian Bystrom of Elmira was a violinist with the Elmira Symphony Orchestra. She began her music career in the 1920s playing in the Elmira Free Academy orchestra, as well as various private recitals. She was an avid theater-goer. She died in 1988.


The Lillian Bystrom Scrapbook Collection contains two scrapbooks of materials related to local music and theatrical performances from 1923 to 1932, and 1963 to 1967.
